I finally got to try Tokyo Shabu Shabu.  I don’t know why, but I’d rather have the sukiyaki over a fusion broth.  There’s something about how sweet it makes your meat when infused in the sukiyaki broth.  If you pick sukiyaki, they’ll give you an egg. Confused about what to do with it?…. You dip your meat in it.  Sounds gross, but it gives your meat a really nice texture.  Add some radish, green onions, and a bit of chili oil into your ponzu.  I tend to dip my veggies and meat into the ponzu.  Also, I try to scoop out some radish and green onions every time I dip anything into the ponzu.  I haven’t been able to come up with any way to customize the miso sauce, but it’s actually great the way it is.
Gonna give this place a 3.5/5.  Not the best shabu shabu place, but I have some kind of weird obsession with dipping my meat into the raw egg.  It’s addicting.
How could I forget?!  You MUST try the red bean ice cream.  I seriously want my own tub of it.  It doesn’t taste like red bean at all.  You’re in for a sweet surprise.
